Writing + me = should not be compatible :p

I am 24 years old. Acting is my primary job and i do so very willingly for GMA network. As a byproduct of this, i also continue to do photoshoots, host, and do other things related to my main line of work. Aside from all that, i also WRITE. (duh.. i do have a blog diba?) And, just like acting, it isn’t something i thought i would ever do. I was hit or miss with my essays and papers when i was going to school. Most of the time, i would end up cramming my written projects at the very last second! Seriously.. I would be in the computer lab and come in my class 15 minutes late because i was busy writing the last few paragraphs of my double spaced, verdana font paper. i used those settings because they took up the most space on paper and we did have page requirements in school! (c’mon, most of us do this haha. although i bet some of you didnt know verdana was a fat font hehe)

Anyway, before i stray from my point, I had no idea i was going to be writing! It was never a goal of mine and i had never pursued it until it fell on my lap in the middle of last year. To prove my point, i was fixing my room awhile ago and found a small piece of paper that proves that my being in the writing business is came out of nowhere!

Aptitude test

That is an aptitude test i took in 3rd high school! I am PROUD of those 99s and all. But i was always a super math geek and considered myself an extremely visual and tactile learner. Then…. i see the FIFTY EIGHT!!! 58?!!?! Hassle!! panira ng results!! everything looked so good on paper until i got to LANGUAGE USAGE. I rest my case. me and writing should not be very compatible based on this aptitude test.

BUT, it doesnt matter! I’m writing now. I’m proud of my work. I’m very happy doing it and of course i also make a living out of it:) BEAT THAT YOU MISLEADING APTITUDE TEST :D harharhar!

Good point. Damn those high school (and college) aptitude exams. Haha! We can be whatever we choose to be. Well, most of the time. Teehee!

You can write, Mikael! Not so many people can get into the Management Honors class in the Ateneo. You were one of them! :)

You’re lucky you didn’t get the professors whose paper specifications are, well, specific. I remember having a prof that would only accept papers that are 3 pages, in Garamond 10 pts, with 1.5 line spacing. Now that was a nightmare.

You’re very lucky. Arial narrow, 10, single space, minimum of 5 pages. That’s the format we usually use for our semantics class. I used to start writing at 12 or 1 am and would sleep around 4 in the morning. One of our written projects is to analyze transformers 1, 2, 3, and its part of our weekly routine. =|
